I do think there is a tragedy in twd in that they essentially fannied out of finishing the story. Once rick was out the picture, I thought there's gonna be maybe one or two new villains for months while the communities learn get by without rick, new leaders emerge and while that's happening they figure out a meta plot arc with the wider world like the helicopter people and where rick is.... That felt like it was building towards something bigger than bad guys Vs good guys in the apocalypse.. I kept waiting for the squabbles to subside so they could progress the main story but after the whisperers I think they'd ran dry of creative essence and couldn't think of a way to tie it back to reality of the wider world and the infection and just rinsed and repeated the same tropes and story. But the main story was left unfinished, the man we traveled all this way with lost people and battled enemies, Rick the survivor the leader, the man who's lost so much and built so much in thay hellish world, where does his story go? They just ignored him and have us filler plot bs for 3 seasons

The most annoying thing about WD is that the big reveal of "oh my god we're all infected, when we die by any means we turn " is kinda stupid because that defeats the purpose of "oh my god I got bitted now I'm infected" or bobs "TAINTED MEAT" like what no shit we're all infected apparently? And so hang on.. if we know everyone's infected by default... And these terminus guys were cannibals.... And eating infected meat will make you turn. (Presumably by inflecting them? But wait aren't we all already infected by default?.... How have they all not turned? Probably because that plot line was kinda bullshit lol. Still love TWD tho

Weeks later seemed a little too different than days. It had some moments that were great, I think everyone agrees the opening was awesome and dark/ bleak, but one thing I feel that you didn't really touch on was the behavior of the protagonist turned zombie. He really didn't behave like a zombie at all. Now I for one don't mind a LITTLE bit of higher brain function in zombies, I think I am legend did a good job with it, but what I don't like is inconsistency. I did hear the "I hate you" in days and really didn't get it. Also like you showed that walking dead zombie using a rock to try and break in a building but then we never see a zombie do anything intelligent ever again feels jarring and like the people who made it weren't all on the same page or just forgot altogether that they did something and so they never use it again or explain it. Speaking again on the walking dead please someone explain the kingdoms plan to feed the saviors infected pig meat? They had this whole elaborate plan to strike back at them in secret only for it to be completely forgotten and we never see anything happen with it. Shame Anyway back on point, protagonist turned zombie seems to really have it out for his family in particular. He stalks them for miles and doesn't seem to just run around in a rage I mean how could he have ambushed all those soldiers, escaped the fire bombing, avoided the toxic/ paralytic gas and the flamethrowing clean up crew, and STILL track down his family. He seems to have a lot more intelligence than any other zombie we've seen and once again that's fine if they are a little smart, they are just terminally angry after all not actually brain dead, but then that's something that needs to be established. Are they smart capable of reason, tactics, and using tools? Or are they zombies? The talking zombies I think are fine dying light shows zombies capable of basic speech, but that doesn't change them fundamentally it just means they were recently infected.

Tried to get through this show so many times, but I have a habit of needing to start a show over once I stop for a proplonged period, maybe this can help me finally finish the show, but then most people tell me its not even worth it, so I might just watch all of this instead
